For centuries extra virgin olive oil has been the flagship of the agricultural production of Loreto Aprutino.
As early as 1800, our farms won olive oil contests and were recognised as high quality producers throughout Italy. In the past, the inhabitants of Loreto Aprutino were also “Culi unti” (oiled back) as the oil production was so abundant that they could literally bathe in oil.
With great pride, Fattoria Di Tullio produces its own extra virgin olive oil characterised by a pleasant balance of bitter, peppery and fruity flavours. Our extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) has all the characteristics of high quality production, including a high concentration of polyphenols and E vitamin.
Our oil is perfect used both raw as a dressing or seasoning and for use in cooking like ingredient with our other products. In some particular recipes (such as pie bases or shortbreads) our oil can be used instead of butter, which provides a healthier alternative to animal fats.
The perfect way to try our oil is also the most ancient and traditional way, the classic bread with oil.
